Aiko Kitahara, born on October 11, 1982, in Japan, is a Japanese singer known for her work in J-pop music. Inspired by her mother's love for bossa nova and Latin pop, Kitahara began her career with the release of her debut single "Grand Blue" on May 17, 2002, which served as the opening theme for the anime television series Tenshi na Konamaiki. Her first mini-album, Sol de verano, was released later that year. Kitahara's early work included collaborations with other artists and appearances at live events organized by Giza Studio. In 2003, she released her debut studio album, Piece of Love, which featured notable singles such as "Special Days" and "Nijiiro ni Hikaru Umi". Her subsequent albums, including Message (2005), Sea (2006), and SHANTI (2007), continued to showcase her unique blend of genres. Notable songs from these albums include "Te Quiero Te Amo ~Natsu no Natsu no Koi~" and "ä¸çä¸ã©ããæ¢ãã¦ã". Kitahara's music was frequently used in media, including anime series like Tenshi na Konamaiki and television programs such as Pro no Domyaku. In 2009, she released her compilation album, AIKO KITAHARA BEST, which included all her released singles and some unreleased tracks. Kitahara's career spanned several years before she retired from the music industry in 2011.
