RotFront, a Berlin music group, was founded in 2003 by Yuriy Gurzhy and Simon Wahorn. The group initially performed under the name Emigrantski Raggamuffin Kollektiv RotFront. Their debut album Emigrantski Raggamuffin was released in 2009, marking their entry into the music scene with a unique blend of Klezmer and world music influences. The band's second album, Visafree, followed in 2011. RotFront gained significant recognition when they received the Ruth Award in the Global RUTH category at the Rudolstadt Festival in 2010. The group is known for its diverse lineup, which includes members from various nationalities and musical backgrounds, reflecting their commitment to internationalism. Their music often features lyrics in multiple languages, including German, Russian, Hungarian, and English.
