Biography

Take a Daytrip is an American record production and songwriting duo formed by Denzel Baptiste (born January 9 1993 in New York) and David Biral (born February 22 1993 in New York). The pair met at New York University and began producing in 2014, gaining early attention with the 2017 single "Mo Bamba" by Sheck Wes, which reached Number six on the Billboard Hot 100. Their breakthrough continued with "Panini" by Lil Nas X (2019) and "Montero (Call Me by Your Name)" (2021), both topping the Hot 100. In 2023 they released the single "Tiki Taka Toco" featuring Fuerza Regida, followed by "Story" in 2025 and "HEART EYE REFERENCE.001" in 2026, both achieving multi‑platinum status. The duo has earned five‑times Platinum RIAA certifications and collaborated with artists such as Travis Scott, Kid Cudi, and Juice Wrld, cementing their influence in contemporary rap and pop production.
