Rockin Da North, a Finnish hip hop organization, emerged in the early 2000s with a loose collective of artists contributing to their albums. Their debut release was Operaatio RDN, a single released in 2001. The group's first full-length album, RDN Allstars, was released in 2002 under BMG Finland Oy and featured notable singles such as "Rockin Da Planet / My Crime Is Hip Hop" and "Pelkkää Viihdettä." The album reached number five on the Finnish charts. Their second album, Star Warz, released in 2003, also under BMG Finland Oy, featured international artists like GZA and RZA from the Wu-Tang Clan, as well as Tha Alkaholics. This album peaked at number four on the Finnish charts. After a three-year hiatus, Rockin Da North returned with Power of the Sound in 2006 under Edel Records.
