Biography

Red Hot Chilli Pipers, a Scottish Celtic rock group formed in 2002, emerged from the Highlands with a lineup of three highland bagpipers and a traditional marching snare, backed by a five‑to‑seven‑piece band. The band’s breakthrough came in 2007 when they won the BBC talent show When Will I Be Famous?, which propelled their second studio album Bagrock To The Masses to platinum status in Scotland and silver across the United Kingdom. Subsequent releases followed a steady cadence: Blast Live (2008) achieved triple platinum in Scotland; Music For The Kilted Generation (2010) reached number two on the US Amazon chart; Braveheart (live) (2013) and Breathe (2013) expanded their international presence; and Live At The Lake 2014 (2014) showcased their live energy. The group performed on major stages, including the Main Stage at T in the Park in 2004 and 2014, and appeared on BBC Radio 1 and the How to Train Your Dragon 2 soundtrack. They toured extensively across Scotland, Germany, the United States, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, India, and Europe, with notable concerts in New York, Beijing, and Stornoway.
