Purwien, a German synth-pop band formed around Christian Purwien, who previously sang with Second Decay until 2002. The group also includes Steffen Neuhaus and Marcel Schlepp. Initially a solo project by Purwien, it evolved into a full-fledged band. Their first single "Alle Fehler" featuring Joachim Witt was released in early 2007 and charted for six weeks on the German Alternative Charts (DAC). The debut album Eins followed later that year with guest appearances from Andreas Fröhlich. In 2017, Purwien collaborated with Thomas Kowa to produce the album Zwei, which was accompanied by a humorous novel titled Pommes! Porno! Popstar! set during their stay in Ibiza.
