Biography

Vicious Pink, a UK musical ensemble originating from England, was formed in 1981. The duo consisted of Josephine Warden on vocals and Brian Moss on keyboards. Initially known as Vicious Pink Phenomena, they released their first single "My Private Tokyo" in 1982 under Mobile Suite Corporation. In 1983, they recorded the demo "Je T'aime", which marked a transition to their new name, Vicious Pink. The band's breakthrough came with the release of "CCCan't You See..." in 1984, followed by "Fetish" and "Take Me Now" in 1985 and 1986 respectively. These singles gained significant traction, particularly in New York's underground scene, where they performed at venues like The Ritz. Vicious Pink released their debut album Vicious Pink in 1986 before disbanding later that year. Their influence persisted posthumously, with compilations and re-releases such as "CCCan't You See (Exxxtended Mixxx)". The band's impact on synthpop and electronic music remains notable, with their songs frequently included in various compilations and recognized as influential by contemporary artists.
