Rainbow Arabia, an electronic duo based in Los Angeles, California, was formed in 2008 by Danny Preston and Tiffany Preston. The group blends electronic music with elements from Arabic, North African, and Asian styles, along with American avant-garde dance pop. Their early releases included the EPs The Basta (2008) and Kabukimono (2009). In 2011, they released their debut full-length album, Boys And Diamonds, under Kompakt Records. The duo has toured with bands such as Gang Gang Dance and Julian Casablancas in the US, and Wavves and Mogwai in Europe. Their music is influenced by labels like Sublime Frequencies and artists such as Syrian singer Omar Souleyman. In 2013, Rainbow Arabia released their second LP, FM Sushi, featuring multi-instrumentalist Dylan Ryan. Their 2016 release, L.A. Heartbreak, showcased a dreamy, melodic pop sound inspired by artists like Tangerine Dream and OMD.
