Born in Avignon in September 1996, Pauline de Tarragon grew up constantly drawing, encouraged by her painter father, while her stepfather taught her to DJ and opened her ears to soul, rap and folk. At 16, she began singing Patti Smith and Radiohead covers in the streets; at 17, she took part in Nouvelle Star before moving to Paris to study illustration. It was here that she met composer and producer Axel Concato and became Pi Ja Ma, with her first album Radio Girl. A multi-talented musician, illustrator, author and ceramist, she has published the albums Nice to Meet U, Seule sous ma frange and Magnetofille, as well as the graphic novel Minuscule folle sauvage (2024).
