Biography
Foxygen is an American duo from Los Angeles (Westlake Village) formed in 2005 by multi-instrumentalists Jonathan Rado and Sam France. Devourers of rock classics, the two troublemakers regurgitate their references in songs strewn with winks on the mini-album Take The Kids Off Broadway (2011) and its successor We Are the 21st Century Ambassadors of Peace & Magic (2012), establishing Foxygen as one of the neo-psychedelic sensations of the moment. In 2014, the duo teamed up with punk band Star Power and members of The Flaming Lips and Of Montreal for the plantural double album Foxygen...And Star Power. Flaming Lips is again present on the next one, the ambitious Hang, with the presence of Steven Drodz who contributes to the many arrangements that adorn this record, which also benefits from the presence of a forty-piece orchestra.
