Biography
Indie-pop duo Cafuné aka singer-songwriter Sedona Schat and producer Noah Yoo met at New York University in 2014, where they bonded over their mutual love of Two Door Cinema Club. Mixing bittersweet dream-pop with swirling shoegaze and gritty indie-rock, their debut single "Letting Go" was released in 2014 and their debut EP, Love Songs for Other People, arrived the following year. They spent the next few years honing their sound, releasing a cache of singles that included "OK on my Own" (2018) and "Want Me Out" (2019) before dropping their debut full-length Running in 2021, which was ld by the efferverscent "Tek It." The single went viral on TikTok in 2022 due to its use in anime edits and other trends on the platform, which led to a signing with Elektra Records in June 2022. In summer 2022, the pair opened for pop luminaries Chvrches. An acoustic version of "Tek It" also emerged in 2022.
