Biography

Peter Hook and The Light is an English post-punk band formed in May 2010 by bassist Peter Hook, formerly of Joy Division and New Order. The group includes Hook's son Jack Bates on bass, Andy Poole on keyboards, Paul Kehoe on drums, and David Potts on guitar, who joined in July 2013, replacing Nat Wason. Known for performing the albums Unknown Pleasures and Closer live, they debuted at FAC 251 – The Factory in Manchester in 2010 with songs from Joy Division, New Order, and Hook's back catalog. They embarked on extensive tours across England, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and the United States, performing Unknown Pleasures live for the first time on May 18, 2010. The band released their debut EP, 1102 | 2011, on May 9, 2011, featuring four Joy Division songs, including a rework of "Pictures In My Mind."
