Pedro Winter, born Pierre Winter on 21 Aprilâ¯1975 in Paris, is a French electronic music composer and producer. He began his career as a DJ, mixing at venues like the Whatâs Up Bar and organizing events such as the Hype soirées at Folies Pigalle and then at Le Palace. Winter discovered Daft Punk in 1995 at a London concert, and in 1996 accepted their offer to become their manager, guiding their career with an emphasis on anonymity. In 2002, he founded Headbangers Entertainment to manage artists including Cassius, Cosmoâ¯Vitelli, his brother Thomas Winter, and DJâ¯Mehdi. He later launched Edâ¯Banger Records (in 2003), promoting acts like Justice, Sébastian, Uffie, Mr. Flash, and Breakbot. Winter adopted the alias Busyâ¯P for his own productions, releasing tracks such as âColette câest chouette / Bearbrickdanceâ and âChop Sueyâ (with Arcade Mode). In 2008, he stepped down from managing Daft Punk to focus on his label and music career. He was one of the 24 artists selected to perform at the closing ceremony of the 2024 Paris Paralympics.
