Biography

Papercuts is an American indie pop project centered on Jason Robert Quever, a singer-songwriter and producer from Humboldt, California. Quever started Papercuts as a solo project after moving to San Francisco and studying at San Francisco State University. The album Mockingbird was released in 2004. The critically acclaimed Can't Go Back (2007) followed, along with You Can Have What You Want (2009), both on Gnomonsong. The album Fading Parade, released by Sub Pop in 2011, marked a significant shift as Quever focused more on producing for other artists, including Cass McCombs and Beach House. Papercuts released their album Parallel Universe Blues on Slumberland Records in 2018.
