Ludo is an American alternative rock band from St. Louis, Missouri. They formed a solid lineup in 2003 with lead vocalist/guitarist Andrew Volpe, lead guitarist Tim Ferrell, moog/synth player Tim Convy, drummer Matt Palermo, and bassist Marshall Fanciullo. They released their self-titled debut album Ludo (2003) on Redbird Records. They gained local success with hits like "Hum Along" and toured extensively with other Midwestern bands. In 2005, they recorded the rock opera EP Broken Bride (2005), which became popular and was adapted into stage productions by various colleges. Ludo signed a five-album deal with Island Records in October 2006 and released their major label debut album You're Awful, I Love You (2008). The album's lead single "Love Me Dead" (2008) received significant exposure, including performances on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. They toured and released albums, including Prepare the Preparations (2010), before going on hiatus in 2012.
