Panic was formed in 1995 in the Republic of Korea by Lee Jeok and Kim Jinâpyo, both musicians who had known each other since their early days. The duo debuted in 1995 with the selfâtitled album Panic, featuring the single "ì무ë"; later that year the track "ë¬í½ì´" became a breakthrough hit, earning the duo national attention. In 1996 they released ë°, an album that pushed social commentary and achieved strong sales, followed by the third studio album Sea Within in 1998, which expanded their musical range to include introspective ballads and experimental sounds. After a sevenâyear hiatus during which both members pursued solo projects, Panic reâunited in 2005 to release Panic 04, a record that sold over 70,000 copies within weeks and topped charts in South Korea. The albumâs lead single "ë¡ìëí
" and the followâup "ì ë¥ì¥" received extensive radio play and earned the group a nomination for the Korea Video Music Awards in 2006. Panicâs discography includes a bestâof compilation released in 2000, and their early singles remain influential in contemporary Korean pop culture, with multiple covers and reâinterpretations by later artists.
