Biography

Kim Jang-hoon, born Jang-hun Kim on August 14, 1963, in South Korea, is a singer known for his contributions to K-ballad and pop music. Before his musical career, he worked as a DJ at cafes after dropping out of school. His debut album 늘 우리사이엔 was released on September 15, 1991, marking the beginning of his professional music career. The album included notable tracks such as "On a sunny day" and "Always between you and I". 이제야, Kim Jang-hoon's second album, which featured the song "Now", was released in 1993, followed by 김장훈 3집(노래만 불렀지) in 1996. Throughout his career, he has released numerous albums including 바보 (1999), Innocence (2000), and Natural (2001). His philanthropic efforts have earned him the nickname "Donation Angel," having donated over 10 billion South Korean won to various causes. Over the following years, he released albums like 조각 (2005) and It's me (2006). In 2011, Kim Jang-hoon collaborated with Heechul of Super Junior on the single "Breakups Are So Like Me", which featured in various music programs. He received the President's Volunteer Service Award from U.S. President Barack Obama in 2012 and dropped the album adieu later that year.
