Orthodox Celts, a Serbian band formed in Belgrade in 1992, blended Irish folk music with rock elements. They debuted publicly on Saint Patrick's Day in 1992 at the British Council in Belgrade. In 1993, vocalist Aleksandar "Aca Seltik" PetroviÄ joined, after which they became more active. Their debut self-titled album, released in 1994, featured cover versions of twelve Irish folk songs. The band's second album, The Celts Strike Again, included two original songs, "Drinking Song" and "Blue". In 1998, they represented FR Yugoslavia at the GEA ethnic music festival in Salonica. Their third album, Green Roses, was released in 1999. The band's fourth studio album, A Moment Like the Longest Day, was released in 2002 and featured a more rock-oriented sound with only one cover song, "Humors Of Scariff".
