Off Broadway was an American rock band formed in 1977 in Oak Park, Illinois. The group consisted of Paul Darrow, Cliff Johnson, Paul McDermott, John Pazdan, and Dan Santercola. After several lineup changes, including the addition of songwriter/guitarist John Ivan and Robert Harding, plus drummer Ken Harck, Off Broadway released their debut album On in 1979 via Atlantic Records. The album reached number 101 on the Billboard 200 and featured the single "Stay in Time", which peaked at number 51 on the Billboard Hot 100 in April 1980. In early May 1980, "Stay in Time" also peaked at number 9 on the weekly music surveys of their hometown radio superstation WLS-AM in Chicago. The band followed up with Quick Turns in 1980 and continued touring for three years before disbanding in 1983. In 2015, Cliff Johnson began touring as Cliff Johnson and The Raine. The band currently consists of several original members from the album On. Cliff Johnson died at age 70 in July 2022.
