Number One Fan was an American rock band formed in 2000 in the United States. The group was established by Nicholas Ziemann, Matthew Reetz, and Jonathan Fries, who were joined by the bassist Michael Ziemann. Their recordings include the debut album Compromises (2003), which was subsequently reissued through Universal Music Group. In 2005, the band adopted the name The Wildbirds and transitioned to a garage rock style. The ensemble became inactive in 2007. Their discography includes the recording Unreleased (2007), which consists of material recorded prior to their name change.
