Pigmy Love Circus were an American rock band from Los Angeles, California, that formed in 1986. The ensemble consisted of the vocalist Mike Savage, the guitarist Peter Fletcher, the bassist Shepherd Stevenson, and the drummer Anthony Martinez, and were famous for their energetic and confrontational live performances and for involving the Tool drummer Danny Carey. They achieved professional recognition in the Los Angeles underground scene and toured extensively with the ensemble A Perfect Circle between 2002 and 2004. Their discography includes the live recording Live (1990) and the studio recordings Drink Free Forever (1991), When Clowns Become Kings (1992), and The Power of Beef (2004). The group also released the single âI'm the King of L.A. ...I Killed Axl Rose Todayâ (1989), which featured the track âMad House Clownâ. The ensemble became inactive following their final performance in 2020. The founding member Rand âPigâ Walters died in 2024.
