World Bang, a German-American rock band formed in 1989 by Ken Kushner in New York, initially gained traction with their debut EP Pedofiend released in 1995. The band, which included members such as Tom Bätzel and Paulo Amaral, followed up with the album Alice D. in 1996 and the single "Any Idea" in 1997. After a hiatus in the late 1990s, World Bang returned to record Music 4 Dummiyz, which was released in 2004. The band's lineup changed over time, notably with George Kranz replacing Rocco Barros on drums in 2003 after Barros' departure following thirteen years with the group. Despite their efforts, label disagreements led to World Bang's dissolution in spring 2005.
