Biography
Numarx was an American hip hop group from Baltimore, Maryland, formed by DJ Spen in the early 1980s. Although the group initially had no fixed lineup, it later included permanent members like Junie Jam, Wanye, and Kool Rod. Their first single, "Buss It", was released in 1984 on KMA Records. In 1987, they released two notable singles: "Girl You Know It's True" and "Rhymes So Def", both on Studio Records. The former was later covered by Milli Vanilli and became a global hit. Numarxâs debut album, Our Time Has Come, was released in 1988 on Studio Records, with European distribution through ZYX Records. They followed up with self-produced singles "Do It Good" (1990) and "Do You Wanna" (1991), before disbanding. DJ Spen later gained recognition as a house DJ.
