Biography
New Politics are a lively alternative rock band from Denmark who moved to America and released increasingly popular albums since they formed in 2009. Flamboyant singer-guitarist David Boid, bassist Søren Hansen and drummer Poul Amaliel were the original trio but Amaliel left in 2010 to be succeeded by Louis Vecchio. They gained attention in a Danish talent competition, toured the UK and released their eponymous debut album in 2010. 'A Bad Girl in Harlem' (2013) went to number 24 on Billboard's Alternative Albums Chart and 34 on the Top Rock Albums Chart with 'Vikings' (2015) reaching number 12 on the Alternative Chart and number 16 on the Rock Chart. Fourth album 'Lost in Translation' came out in 2017 and their 2018 schedule included appearances at venues in Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New Jersey, Virginia, North Carolina, Florida and Georgia.
