Biography

nerdina (배수열, Bryan Bae), born in 1999 in Seoul, first appeared to the public as Bae Soo-yeol of Sangmun High School’s crew Black Rock on High School Rapper, and returned six years later not as a contestant but as an independent artist with his own musical identity. Inspired by an awkward first club experience, he created the name “nerdina,” short for “nerd in a club,” reflecting the honest and slightly timid persona he channels into his lyrics. Debuting in 2022 with the EP Delicate Daydream, he blends pop with elements of hip-hop, R&B, and rock, delivering candid, understated storytelling over catchy yet emotionally nuanced soundscapes; he was selected as a 2023 Melon Magazine Track Zero “Artist to Watch” and successfully performed at MU:CON 2023. His discography includes "vlu" and "why do you love me?" in 2025.
