Biography

Marjeta "Neca" Falk, born on June 19, 1950, in Slovenia, is a singer known for her contributions to pop and rock music. She began her musical career at the age of 19, performing at the 1969 Ljubljana Youth Festival. In the early 1970s, Falk was the vocalist for bands Boemi (The Bohemians) and Rdeči Dečki (The Red Boys). Her debut album Danes was released in 1977 through the Helidon record label. With her second album, Vsi ljudje hitijo, released in 1978, she transitioned to a mainstream rock sound. Falk's subsequent albums, including Najjači ostaju (1980) and Nervozna (1981), solidified her status as a prominent female vocalist in the Yugoslav rock scene. In the mid-1980s, she shifted towards children's music with albums like Pika poka Maček Muri in Muca Maca. Falk returned to her pop and rock roots with her 1993 self-titled album. She has also acted in theatre productions and directed short films.
