Thierry Gnahoré, known professionally as Nativ, was born in 1993 and is a rapper from Niederscherli, Switzerland. He has roots in the Ivory Coast and began his musical journey by learning to play the Djembé before transitioning to hip-hop. His early career involved being part of the rap crew Saviours of Soul, where he released two albums in Berndeutsch with Dawill, achieving top positions in the Swiss charts. Nativ's solo career began with the release of MVZ Vol. 1 (2015) and MVZ Vol. 2 (2017). His debut album Baobab (2018) received critical acclaim and reached number 3 on the Swiss charts without major label support. Nativ released albums such as Awful (2019), Mir geits würklech guet, i gseh nur so us(2020), and Marathon (2022).
