Biography

Nasum, a Swedish grindcore punk band, was formed in 1992 by Anders Jakobson and Rickard Alriksson. The duo initially released an EP shared with Agathocles in 1993, followed by the addition of guitarist Mieszko Talarczyk. Nasum's first solo release, Industrislaven, was recorded at Unisound Studios in 1995. Their debut album, Inhale/Exhale, released on May 26, 1998, marked a significant breakthrough with Relapse Records. The band continued to gain traction with subsequent albums such as Human 2.0 (May 23, 2000), Helvete (May 13, 2003), and Shift (November 10, 2004). Tragedy struck on December 26, 2004, when Talarczyk died in the Southeast Asian tsunami. The band disbanded but released a double album, Grind Finale, in November 2005.
