Biography
Nailed to Obscurity, a melodic death metal group from Esens, Germany, was formed in 2005 by guitarists Jan-Ole Lamberti and Volker Dieken. The band's initial lineup underwent several changes before releasing their debut album Abyss... in 2007. In 2012, long-time vocalist Alexander Dirks departed, leading to the addition of Raimund Ennenga as the new frontman for the subsequent release Opaque in September 2013 under Apostasy Records. The band continued with King Delusion, released on February 3, 2017, also through Apostasy Records. In January 2019, Nailed to Obscurity signed with Nuclear Blast and released their album Black Frost, which peaked at number 37 in the German charts. The band's single "Clouded Frame" was published in November 2022, followed by a French tour in December 2022 alongside Eluveitie, Amorphis, and Dark Tranquillity.
