Solution .45 were a Swedish melodic death metal supergroup that formed in 2007. The ensemble was founded by the guitarist Jani Stefanovic and are famous for a lineup that featured prominent metal musicians from Scar Symmetry, Stratovarius, and Dark Tranquillity. Their final lineup included the vocalist Christian Ãlvestam, the drummer Rolf Pilve, the guitarists Stefanovic and Patrik Gardberg, and the bassist Henric Liljesand. They achieved professional recognition in 2008 after producing an eight-track demo featuring the track âClandestinity Nowâ. Their discography includes the studio recordings For Aeons Past (2010), which featured lyrics written by the Dark Tranquillity vocalist Mikael Stanne, Nightmares in the Waking State: Part I (2015), and Nightmares in the Waking State: Part II (2016). The ensemble disbanded in 2024 due to a lack of motivation.
