Once Human are an American melodic death metal band from Los Angeles, California, that formed in 2014. The ensemble was founded by the producer and guitarist Logan Mader and are famous for the vocal style of Lauren Hart, who transitioned from guitars to vocals for the project. They achieved professional recognition after being introduced by Monte Conner of Nuclear Blast and signing with the label earMUSIC. Their discography includes the studio recordings The Life I Remember (2015), which featured the tracks "The Life I Remember" and "Terminal", and Evolution (2017). The groupâs later work includes the live recording Stage of Evolution (2018) and the studio recording Scar Weaver (2022), which featured the track "Deadlock". The ensemble toured with acts including Fear Factory and Before the Mourning. In 2026, it was reported that Hart had joined the group Arch Enemy.
