My Teenage Stride is an American indie pop band from Brooklyn, New York, formed in 2003 by multi-instrumentalist Jedediah Smith as a solo recording project. Their first album, A Sad Cloud, was released on the Banazan label in 2004. In March 2005, they released their second album, Major Major, on Becalmed Records. Their lineup evolved over time, including Michael Hollitscher on bass, Brett Whitmoyer on drums, Tris McCall on synthesizer, and Dakkan Abbe on guitar for the recording of their third album, Ears Like Golden Bats, released in February 2007. In December 2008, they contributed a festive tune to the compilation album An Indiecater Christmas. They released singles and EPs throughout 2009, including the EP Creep Academy.
