Biography
Gift Selaelo Morukhuladi, known professionally as Mvzzle, was born on November 11, 1994, in Musina, South Africa, and is a DJ, singer-songwriter, and producer. Raised in Westenburg, Polokwane, he began his musical journey as a hip-hop producer and rapper in high school, forming the trio Cyclops with teammates Septic Rooger and Gran-T. After the group disbanded, he transitioned to producing both house and rap music. In 2016, he dropped out of college to pursue a career in music full-time, gaining opportunities through the South African Arts and Culture Youth Forum. He placed third in SABC1's DJ competition, 1s and 2s, in 2018. His breakthrough came with the production of "Umlilo" by DJ Zinhle, which reached over 5.1 million streams within its first three months and won a NAMA award. Mvzzle released his debut EP, Sonke, in 2021 under Warner Music South Africa.
