Biography

Rubén David Morodo Ruiz, known as Morodo, and born on December 1, 1979, in Madrid, Spain, is a Spanish singer and composer of reggae music with influences from hip hop. From an early age, Morodo was influenced by the culture of hip-hop and Jamaican music, which led him to participate in jams across Spain at the age of 14. His breakthrough came in 2000 when he released his first single "Smooka" produced by Souchi. In 2001, Morodo released Ozmlstayl under Funkdamental Records, which showcased a fusion of Jamaican and Spanish styles. Following a hiatus, he returned in October 2004 with the album Cosas que contarte, which sold over 16,000 copies and marked the beginning of his international tours. His subsequent albums include Rebel Action (2010) and Reggae Ambassador (2014).
