Mo Kolours â born Joseph Deenmamode in West Midlands, England â is a half-British and half-Mauritian vocalist, percussionist and producer. Blending hip-hop, electronica, dub, world music, soul, and funk, his sound has often been compared to Madlib. He made his debut in 2011 with EP1: Drum Talking, followed by two EPs â EP2: Banana Wine and Brave/Dredd Music â in 2012. With growing critical acclaim and a rising commercial profile, he released EP3: Tusk Dance in 2013 and his debut full length album, Mo Kolours, in 2014. More EPs followed, along with more critical acclaim, leading up to the released of his second album, Texture Like Sun (2015). In 2018, Mo Kolours released his third full-length album, Inner Symbols, followed by Original Flow: Chapter One (2023) and Original Flow: Chapter Two (2024).
