Melodie MC, born Kent Lövgren in 1970 in Sweden, is a rapper known for his work on Eurodance tracks. He began his musical journey with classmate Erik Svensson, alias Stattik, sharing a passion for music and dance. Melodie MC initially focused on breakdancing while Stattik handled computers and synthesizers. Their collaboration led to the development of complex sounds and music, with Melodie MC transitioning into vocal artistry. Melodie MC released his debut single "Feel Your Body Movin'" in 1992, followed by several hits and three albums. His first album, Northland Wonderland, included the track "We're Down With The Dragons", a tribute to the Swedish basketball team Sundsvall Dragons, featuring fellow rapper Modest. Notable collaborations on his albums include Mayomi on "Dum Da Dum" and Pia Tjärnlund on "Free". Melodie MC toured extensively across Europe and beyond during this period. His second album, The Return, featured vocals from Mayomi and Charlie King, while his third album, The Ultimate Experience, included contributions from Jocelyn Brown and Susanne Bertlin. Melodie MC also appeared as a guest rapper on Jennifer Newberry's track "Jump To The Beat" in 1999 and briefly on the Daze album in 2000 before stepping away from the music industry. He later returned to using his real name, Kent Lövgren, running a marketing company with two partners while teaching part-time at a local university.
