Antique was a Swedish-Greek musical duo consisting of Helena Paparizou and Nikos Panagiotidis, both born in Sweden to Greek parents. In 1999, Antique formed when DJ friends of Paparizou's brother asked her to record a demo of the Notis Sfakianakis hit "Opa Opa". She invited her childhood friend Panagiotidis to sing with her, and they were subsequently signed to Bonnier Music. Their debut single "Opa Opa" became a hit among Greeks in Sweden and entered the top ten in both Sweden and Norway. Antique's subsequent singles "Dinata Dinata", "Follow Me", and "Moro Mou" also charted well. In 2001, they represented Greece at the Eurovision Song Contest with "(I Would) Die for You", finishing third with one hundred forty-seven points. This success led to recognition in Greece, where they recorded the studio albums Mera Me Ti Mera, Die for You, Me Logia Ellinika, Alli Mia Fora, and Blue Love. They also performed a small European tour and collaborated with artists such as Katy Garbi and Slavi Trifonov. In 2003, the group disbanded amicably, with both members pursuing solo careers. Paparizou went on to win the Eurovision Song Contest in 2005 representing Greece with "My Number One". Antique reunited for a special anniversary concert in Sweden in July 2019 and released new material in March 2022.
