Desirée Sparre-Enger, known professionally as Bambee, was born on June 25, 1976, in the Solomon Islands. She is a singer specializing in bubblegum dance. Born to a Grenadian mother and a Norwegian father, she adopted the stage name Bambee as a reference to her eyes.
Bambee's career began with the release of her debut single "Candy Girl" in 1997. Her first full-length album, On Ice, was released in December 1999 in Japan and April 2000 in Norway, peaking at Number 33 on VG-lista. Notable songs from this period include "Typical Tropical" and "Bumble Bee", which gained popularity through their inclusion in the Dance Dance Revolution game series. Her second album, Fairytales, was released in June 2001. Despite plans for a third album in 2002, it was shelved due to declining sales in the bubblegum dance market. Bambee has not been active since then.
