Melissa Ann Smith, known professionally as Melissa Molinaro, was born on June 4, 1982, in Whitby, Ontario. She began her career at a young age, starting with figure skating and gymnastics before transitioning to performing arts. Her initial steps into music involved auditioning for the girl pop group Goddess, where she became the lead singer. Molinaro's breakthrough came through reality TV appearances on Making the Band 3 and Pussycat Dolls Present: The Search for the Next Doll. She released her debut solo single "I Believed" in 2008.
