Biography

Matt Alber, born on February 6, 1975, in Wichita, Kansas, is an American singer-songwriter and filmmaker. He began singing as a child and studied music at Truman State University. Matt Alber's career took off when he joined the Grammy-award-winning all-male vocal ensemble Chanticleer from 1998 to 2003. His debut album Nonchalant was released in 2005, followed by Hide Nothing in 2008 through Silver Label, a division of Tommy Boy Records. The leading single "End of the World" from Hide Nothing went viral after its music video was popularized by Logo TV. In 2011, Matt Alber released Constant Crows, which featured more folk and torch songs. He has since released several other albums, including Wind Sand Stars in 2014 and How High the Moon in 2018.
