Mariangela Demurtas, born in 1981, in Ozieri, Sardinia, Italy, is an Italian rock and metal singer-songwriter. She began her musical journey as a child, participating in local music contests and later joining Reel Fiction. She has also lived in various countries, including Norway and Portugal, where she formed the folk metal project Luminosa. In 2007, Demurtas joined the Norwegian gothic doom metal band Tristania, replacing Vibeke Stene. With Tristania, she contributed to albums like Rubicon (2010) and Darkest White (2013). Demurtas' career also included solo projects such as the EP Mariangela Demurtas (2013) and singles "City" (2021) and "Classic" (2022).
