Marco Zaffarano is a German techno and trance DJ and producer who was born in Stuttgart, Germany, in 1970. He achieved professional recognition in 1990 as a resident DJ at the Club âOzâ in Stuttgart and is famous for his minimalist techno productions and for founding the label Anima Records. Zaffaranoâs career was heavily influenced by acid house, with which he first came into contact in 1987. In 1992, he met the musician Sven Väth, which led to a series of collaborations with Jürgen Kreschel on the label Harthouse. These included the recordings âMinimalism Vol. 1â and âMinimalism Vol. 2â. His discography includes the debut studio recording He was once a beautiful Woman (1996), released on the label MFS, and the compilation recording Harthouse-Produktionen 1992-1995 (1998). After performing internationally and releasing tracks through Mauro Picotto's label BXR, Zaffarano established his own label, Anima Records, in 2002.
