Biography

Hailing from Georgia, where its leader Zachary Brown was born (July 31, 1978), the Zac Brown Band has been the leading contemporary country band since its formation in 2000. Open to other musical styles such as soul, rock, jazz and reggae, the band toured extensively and recorded two albums with little publicity, Far from Eynstine (2004) and Home Grown (2005), before finding success with the single "Chicken Fried" and the platinum-selling album The Foundation (2008). From then on, the band switched categories, with a string of No.1 country singles and albums: You Get What You Give (2010) and Uncaged (2012), whose highlights are summarized on the Greatest Hits So Far... compilation. (2014), then Jekyll + Hyde (2015), featuring duets with Jewel, Sara Bareilles and Chris Cornell (Soundgarden, Audioslave). Between two triumphant tours follows Welcome Home (2017). Winners of three Grammy Awards, the band went on to release the albums The Owl (2019) and The Comeback (2021), before a tour devoted to covers, resulting in From the Road, Vol. 1: Covers (2023). In 2025, Love & Fear was released, with contributions from Marcus King, Snoop Dogg and Dolly Parton.
