Biography

Joshua Mario Gracin, born on 18 October 1980 in Westland, Michigan, is an American country music singer and songwriter known by the stage name Josh Gracin. His musical journey began at a young age, influenced by artists such as Elvis Presley, the Beatles, Garth Brooks, Joe Diffie, George Strait, and Randy Travis. After cutting his teeth as a vocalist at state festivals, fairs, and pageants throughout Michigan, in 2003, he auditioned for the second season of American Idol, making it to the finals and finishing fourth. During this period, he was serving in the United States Marine Corps, which limited his ability to participate in the American Idol Finalists tour. After completing his service, he signed a record deal with Lyric Street Records and released his self-titled debut album in June 2004. The album produced three top five hits on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart, including "Nothin' to Lose", which reached number one. His second album, We Weren't Crazy, was released in April 2008 and included the top 10 hit title track. After signing with Average Joe's in 2010, he released his third album, Redemption, in November 2011. He went on to release a string of further singles, such as 2023 single "You're On Fire".
