Biography
Craig Morgan is an American country artist, best known for the chart-topping hit "That's What I Love About Sunday" and a handful of Top 10 singles. He was born in Kingston Springs, Tennessee, a small community outside of Nashville, on July 17, 1964. After serving in the US Army for a decade and remaining in the reserves for an additional seven years, he landed a record deal with Atlantic and released his self-titled debut album, Craig Morgan, in 2000. Although the album failed to chart, its lead single "Something to Write Home About" cracked the Top 40. Atlantic Records closed its Nashville office the following year, and Morgan resurfaced on the roster of a new label, Broken Bow Records. He released I Love It in 2003, reaching Number 16 on the US Top Country Albums chart and climbing all the way to Number 6 with the record's biggest single, "Almost Home." Two years later, the album My Kind of Livin' went gold and spawned two gold-certified singles: the Number 1 smash "That's What I Love About Sunday" and the Number 2 hit "Redneck Yacht Club." Morgan's follow-up release, Little Bit of Life, arrived in 2006 and also went gold. 2008's That's Why and 2012's This Ole Boy both charted within the Top 10, yielding hits like "Love Remembers," "Bonfire," and "This Ain't Nothin'" along the way. Morgan released his seventh studio album, A Whole Lot More to Me, in 2016, then returned in 2020 with God, Family, Country.
