Biography
Marlon Grimes, known professionally as Maddi Madd, is an American rapper from Akron, Ohio. Born in 1984, he began his career with the rap group Bizness Clique, which gained local radio success in Akron. In 1995, they were discovered by Ivan Jones of Grown Man Records. Maddi Madd released his first EP, A Million Wayz, under Bungalo Records in 1999, selling over 100,000 copies. He wrote the majority of the soundtrack for the HBO documentary Pimps Up, Ho's Down directed by Brent Owens and released his first international single "Emotional / Ohio Thuggin" in 2002 under 280 East Records. In 2010, he released his album The Midwest Juggernaut. He has been awarded RIAA certified platinum awards for his contributions to Flo Rida's "Whistle" and "Wild Ones."
