Randy Mario Poffo, known as Macho Man Randy Savage, was born on November 15, 1952, in Sarasota, Florida. He began his career as a professional wrestler and made his music debut on Wrestlemania: The Album in 1993. He later released his rap album Be A Man in 2003. The album included the track "Mr. Perfect" as well as a diss track aimed at Hulk Hogan. Savage's distinctive raspy voice and flamboyant style were prominent in both wrestling and music. His wrestling career spanned 32 years, with ten world championship reigns, including two as WWF World Heavyweight Champion and four as WCW World Heavyweight Champion. Savage was inducted into the Wrestling Observer Newsletter Hall of Fame in 1996 and posthumously into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2015. He passed away on May 20, 2011.
