Biography

Lydia Huber is a German singer and radio presenter who was born as Lydia Rudig in Bremen, Germany, in 1943. She achieved professional recognition after appearing on the television program 3 mal 9 and is famous for her career in volkstümlichen Schlager music and her participation in folk music competitions. Huber studied vocals in Munich and began recording music following her television debut. She competed in the Grand Prix der Volksmusik in 1986 with the track “Hintertupfing” and reached number 12 in the 1989 competition with the track “Wenn jedes Herz a Fensterl hätt”. Her discography includes the studio recordings Hoch drob'n auf dem Berg (1975), Ich bin ein Kind der Berge (1980), and Sag dankeschön mit roten Rosen (1989). She also released the track “Das schönste im Leben ist Liebe zu geben” (1990).
