Biography

Logo is a French electronic music group composed of Thomas Desnoyers and Hugues Tonnet de Parrel. Desnoyers came from the universe of minimal techno, while Tonnet de Parrel discovered house music through his brother. Logo first gained attention with the track “Junocide” on Kitsuné Maison Compilation 8 (2009), and later released their debut EP La Vie moderne (2010). Their productions were described as hybrid attempts to synthesize electronic music with melodic and unifying elements. In 2011, the group released the EP Merit and collaborated with Icona Pop on the track “Luvsick” for Kitsuné Maison Compilation 11. The following year saw the release of the EPs Jacob & Fabrice and Give Mo Luv featuring eLBee BaD. Their single “Cardiocleptomania” (2013) featured a music video starring Niels Schneider. Logo performed as the opening act for Étienne de Crécy at the Olympia on 13 October 2012, and appeared on the Boiler Room stage at the Australian Big Day Out festival in 2013. Their tracks were remixed by DJs including Para One and DJ Assault, and the duo contributed remixes to artists such as Yelle, Mark Ronson, and Years & Years. The group remained active until 2014.
