Little Fyodor is the performance name of David Lichtenverg, an American punk and garage rock musician born on December 8, 1957, in Wayne, New Jersey. While in college, he was influenced by the Ramones album Leave Home and the song âCarbona Not Glueâ. Lichtenverg moved to Colorado in 1981 and established a musical career with the experimental group Walls of Genius from 1982 to 1986. Lichtenverg began a solo career as Little Fyodor in the mid-1980s, releasing the EP Slither (1985) and the debut album Slither Sloth (1986). In 1986, he formed a musical partnership with Lauren Swain, who performed under the stage name Babushka. Their recording career featured the albums Beneath The Uber-Putz (1988), Idiots Are Closer To God (1990), and Dance Of The Salted Slug (1994). Later releases included Peace is Boring (2009) and Pithy Romantic Ballads (2019). Lichtenverg also worked as a radio deejay for stations including WTJU and KGNU.
